If there is enough interest, a small group of Buckeye Bop Club members will travel to San Antonio this winter to check out the history and warmer weather as well as local dance opportunities. For a small group, reserving seats and rooms has become a challenge and it was necessary to change travel dates.
We were able to reserve 10 seats on Southwest Airlines departing Thursday, Feb 9 and returning Tuesday, Feb 14 until 12/21. Columbus departure at 8:45am and San Antonio departure at 8:30am, so reasonable flights. Roundtrip is $331.20.
Holiday Inn Express on the Riverwalk was recommended by a BBC member who stayed there a few months ago. They will not hold rooms but we should be able to reserve rooms at this historical venue for $136.46/night (plus tax) for rooms with 2 queen beds. Daily breakfast is also included.
It’s reasonable to estimate a price of $1000/pp for flight, hotel and local travel for double occupancy in the rooms. For those not wanting to share a room it would be approx. $1500.
Due to deadline for flights and need to lock in room rates, confirmation of travel and payment are required no later than this coming Tuesday, December 20. Make your check payable to the Buckeye Bop Club.
