Great dance at the new venue. The floor has plenty of room for every style dance, even country 2 step!. The seating and refreshments made it nice just to visit with friends. Good, safe parking. Easy to get to.

The amount of space is mind boggling! I can now see everyone and everyone can see me. Love the parking and location. A great value for $5.

Last Tuesday night at Emerald City Ballroom was the most fun I've had at the Buckeye Bop Club in years. Having air conditioning was great. The dance floor is huge. There was no getting trampled and jostled while trying to dance like there is on smaller crowded floors. It was a joy to have the space to really 2 Step and Waltz. I'll be back often as long as it's there. $5 to dance at this location is a real value and if you have a membership at Emerald City as well as the Buckeye Bop Club it's only $1.00 !!!

The Emerald Ballroom is a classy room with two wonderful people running it. They are friendly and accommodating. The whole atmosphere lends itself to fine dancing and we finally have room to really spread our dancing wings!'

I am absolutely thrilled with the new venue for our Tuesday night dances! The spacious floor is smooth, remarkably springy, and there's plenty of room at the sides for folks to sit at tables and chat. The owners are friendly and welcoming, and Lisa said she's even been studying the photos of our members (on our website) to learn our names! I so much hope this is going to work out well from both sides. Kudos to Donna for her outstanding music selections ~ the excellent sound system made the music even more enjoyable. P.S. ~ the air conditioning works!

I am happy about the move to Emerald City Ballroom for numerous reasons:

1) The larger dance floor accommodates our group classes and enables the instructors to give us dance sequences that use more space. We also do not need to worry as much about bumping into each other during the free dance portion of the evening. If our group grows in size, there is plenty of space available on Emerald's dance floor for additional dancers.

2) Reliable air conditioning. The heat and humidity at BowTies made dancing there very uncomfortable. I prefer to do my heavy sweating at the gym.

3) Safe neighborhood with ample parking.

4) Convenient location---close to restaurants and retail. With appropriate time management skills, you can manage to complete errands on Sawmill and still have time for dancing on the same evening.

5) No worries that the site is about to be hit my a wrecking ball when the hotel closes.

6) Yes, change is difficult for folks, however, it is better to make the move when there was an option that included a much nicer facility. It did not require an MBA to understand that the BowTies venue was no longer a long term option.
